The Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theatre Board is dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and community through the transformative power of dance. Our mission is anchored in three essential pillars that guide our initiatives and programs.

Education is at the heart of our vision, led by Angela and Jenny, who are committed to nurturing the next generation of dancers. Through engaging workshops, masterclasses, and youth dance programs, we provide invaluable mentorship and scholarship opportunities that empower students and cultivate artistic growth. Our focus on arts education ensures that young dancers acquire not only technical skills but also a deep appreciation for the art form.

Community Engagement, spearheaded by Dana and Elijah, emphasizes the importance of connection and collaboration. We actively reach out to diverse communities through our outreach programs, bringing the joy of dance to those who may not have access to it. Our community performances and partnerships with local artists create a vibrant cultural tapestry, while volunteer opportunities allow individuals to become integral parts of our mission.

Finally, Donors and Support, under the guidance of Derek, plays a crucial role in sustaining our initiatives. We seek corporate sponsorship and organize dynamic fundraising events to secure resources for our programs. Our commitment to grant writing ensures that we can continually expand our reach and impact.

Together, these pillars form the foundation of the Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theatre Board, where we inspire, engage, and uplift through the art of dance. Join us in our journey to make a difference.
