ARRIVE EARLY
It is vital that volunteers arrive on time (or up to 15 minutes early) for the scheduled shift to ensure HFB’s operations run smoothly and our volunteers remain safe.
If a volunteer arrives late for the shift, HFB staff may ask you to reschedule for another day/shift; or you may not be able to join your group.
ONLINE VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION
Registering online saves the Houston Food Bank the time.
Printing, managing, reconciling accurate volunteer numbers and information can save thousands of paper waiver pages that we currently accumulate each month.
Spending 5 minutes registering means more meals are available for our community.
