2026/2027 Season Company Auditions
Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theater (SMCDT), under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Elijah Alhadji Gibson, is seeking dynamic, passionate, and versatile professional dancers for the 2026–2027 season.
We are looking for versatile, collaborative artists with strong and diverse movement training and performance presence to join Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theater for an exciting new season of creation, performance, and community engagement.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Term: Approximately 40 weeks
Rehearsal Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18+ years old.

Eligible to work in the United States.

Company Members: Minimum of 2 years of performance experience or equivalent training.

Apprentices: Less performance experience, but must be able to demonstrate potential and dedication.

Availability: Must be available for rehearsals, performances, and potential tours.
