Zinnia Havelka grew up in Denver, Colorado training alongside Davis Contemporary Dance company as one of the founding members of Davis Contemporary Dance Next Generation. Following her formative years Zinnia received a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University, where she cultivated her artistry through works from choreographers such as Donald Byrd, Maya Orchin, Larissa Velez Jackson, and Mike Esperanza. After graduation, Zinnia was able to work with professional companies in Houston such as Houston Grand Opera, Ad Deum Dance Company, NobleMotion Dance, Groundworks, and others as a performing artist. Currently, Zinnia Havelka is contracted with Riddles 3 Dance Company and Social Movement Contemporary Dance Theater.
