Britney Lauren McGarity began dancing at the age of two at Dance Plus San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. She attended the North East School of the Arts (NESA) and trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. McGarity is pursuing her BFA in dance from Sam Houston State University where she has performed in Dana Nicolay’s’ Wynne Home Nutcracker as Marie and Elijah Alhadji Gibson’s, The Black Card. She received scholarships to study at the Gus Giordano College/Pro Summer Intensive and the DanceWorks Chicago Dance360 Intensive. McGarity has also performed at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. and Jacob’s Pillow. Other performances include festivals such as Barnstorm Dance Festival, Austin Dance Festival, Dance Gallery, and Bailando.
